Spond
Free platform; Spond earns on payment processing — in USD/CAD, $1.00 + 3.29% per transaction (lower in EUR/GBP: €/£0.20 + 2.5%). By default the group absorbs the fee, or can pass it to members.

Where SportPadi differs
Spond is built around private groups — there's no public marketplace where new players discover your games. SportPadi events (public ones) are discoverable by anyone nearby, with a shareable page that ranks in search.
SportPadi runs game day itself: QR check-in at the venue, automatic balanced teams from whoever showed up, live scores and leaderboards. Spond focuses on the coordination before game day.
SportPadi ticket buyers pay the processing fee on top of your price, so the amount you set is what your group receives; Spond's default deducts the fee from the group's side (though it can be passed on).
