Coaching on SportPadi
Is SportPadi for youth teams or just adult pickup?
Both. A group can hold adult and kids' teams side by side. Kids' teams get age groups (Under 12, 16, 18), guardian-managed players, team-only events and parent announcements; the adult side is unchanged.
Do I need to be a group admin to coach?
No. An admin makes you a coach of a team. You can then create and run events for that team, invite players, set line-ups, post announcements, message your players' guardians and officiate matches — and nothing outside your team.
How do parents get involved?
A parent adds their child as a ward from their own account, joins your group, and the child joins through them. From then on the parent sees the team's events in their calendar, RSVPs and pays for the child, scans them in at the venue and receives your announcements.
What about children's privacy?
Wards have no login and are unlisted and unsearchable. Outside their guardians, coaches and group admins, people see a first name and initial with no photo. Ward profiles are never indexed. Coach–parent messages are visible to the group's admins.
Does it cost the coach anything?
No. Coaching tools come with the group. Clubs that want the group wallet for collecting dues, unlimited check-ins or urgent notices without limits subscribe to a plan; players and parents never pay SportPadi.
