Organize soccer games, from kick-off to the final whistle

SportPadi runs your soccer from the group chat to the final whistle. Create the game, let players check in with a QR code, split them into balanced sides by position, then referee and keep score live, with goals, assists, cards, subs and stoppage time. Every goal lands on the scorer's profile and your group's leaderboard.

How soccer works on SportPadi

From creating the event to the final whistle, every step in one place.

  1. Step 1

    Create your soccer event

Start a group for your soccer crew (or use one you run), then post the event: date, kick-off time, venue and a player cap. The venue is mapped automatically, so players nearby find your game when they browse soccer near them.

    • One-off games or weekly / monthly repeats
    • Public, or private to your group's members
    • Free to join, or sell tickets and collect dues
    • Every event gets a shareable page with a rich link preview
  2. Step 2

Players find it and sign up

Players see your soccer event on their home feed, in Browse, and on your group's page. They mark themselves in or buy a ticket, and you see the numbers build before match day.

    • Interested and going counts
    • Tickets and dues paid online, in your group's currency
    • Your group's followers see every public event you post
  3. Step 3

Check in with a QR code

Each event has its own QR code. Players scan it when they arrive (or you scan their pass), and they drop straight into the player pool. Ticketed events check payment at the gate, so a screenshot doesn't get anyone in.

    • Live arrivals list for the organizer
    • Attendance history per player
    • Late arrivals join the pool without redoing anything
  4. Step 4

    Split into balanced teams

Turn everyone who checked in into two fair sides in one tap, balanced by positions. Prefer to pick? Use the draft board, give each team a colour and a captain, and fold late arrivals in evenly.

    • Up to 11 players a side
    • Auto-balance or draft by hand
    • Team colours carry through to the scoreboard
    • Balances goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards across the sides
  5. Step 5

    Create the match

Schedule one game or a string of them inside the event: pick the two teams, the match length (90 minutes by default), and who's officiating. Lineups come from the team, with starters and a bench, and tournaments add squads, brackets and extra time or penalties for knockout draws.

    • 2 teams per game
    • Starters, bench and substitutions
    • Invite teams to a tournament and collect entry fees
  6. Step 6

    Record stats as they happen

The scorer logs goals, own goals, yellow cards and red cards live, and the score updates for everyone watching. Two yellow cards or a red card send a player off automatically. Every entry builds each player's soccer stats.

    • ⚽ Goal (+1 · with assist)
    • 🥅 Own goal (+1 to the other side)
    • 🟨 Yellow card (2 = sent off)
    • 🟥 Red card (sends the player off)
    • 🔁 Substitution (player on for player off)
  7. Step 7

    Referee in officiant mode

Officiant mode is a full-screen clock built for the touchline, with pause, add stoppage and full time controls. Split the work between a timekeeper and a scorer, or do both yourself. Nothing else on screen, and a hold-to-exit so a pocket tap can't end the game.

    • Pause: Pause for injuries or delays; resume when play restarts.
    • Add stoppage: Add minutes at the end of the period for time lost.
    • Full time: Blow the final whistle — results are worked out from the score.
    • Timekeeper and scorer roles, swap anytime
    • Stoppage time per half, in any amount
  8. Step 8

    Results, stats and leaderboards

When the final whistle goes, the result is worked out from the score and the match summary is ready to share. Goals, assists, own goals and yellow cards go on each player's soccer profile, and your group's leaderboard updates.

    • Shareable match summary
    • Per-player soccer stats on their profile
    • Group and global leaderboards
    • XP and achievements for showing up and playing

5-a-side & futsal

Small-sided pickup on a cage or indoor court. Set the team size, check players in, shuffle two (or more) teams, and rotate winners-stay-on games inside one event.

7-a-side & 9-a-side

Mid-size games for youth and adult rec leagues. Use the draft board to set sides and save a formation for each team.

11-a-side

soccer on SportPadi: questions

How do I organize a soccer game on SportPadi?

Create a group, post a soccer event with the date, time and venue, and share the link. Players check in with the event's QR code, SportPadi splits them into balanced teams, and you run the match with live scoring and officiant mode.

What does SportPadi record in a soccer game?

Goals, own goals, yellow cards, red cards and substitutions. The score updates live, and each player's totals (goals, assists, own goals, yellow cards and red cards) are added to their profile.

How are teams balanced?

From the players who actually checked in, spread evenly by positions (GK, RB, LB, CB, RWB, LWB…). You can re-shuffle or move players by hand on the draft board.

What is officiant mode?

A full-screen referee view for the timekeeper, with pause, add stoppage and full time controls. Anyone the organizer adds can officiate, as timekeeper, scorer or both.

Can I run a weekly soccer pickup game on SportPadi?

Yes. Create the event once and set it to repeat weekly or monthly. Each occurrence gets its own attendee list, check-in QR and tickets, and your regulars see it on their home feed as soon as it's posted.

How does stoppage time work in officiant mode?

The timekeeper adds stoppage time with one tap (+1, +2, +3, +5) or dials in any amount up to 120 minutes. It's added to the current half, the clock shows it, and it can be corrected before the half ends.

Do two yellow cards send a player off?

Yes. A second yellow, or a straight red, sends the player off automatically, and it's marked on the match sheet.

Can I pick lineups and formations?

Yes. Teams and tournament squads have a formation board. On match day you choose who starts and who's on the bench, and substitutions during the game swap them on the match sheet.

Is SportPadi free?

Creating a group, posting events, check-in, teams and live scoring are free. Selling tickets and collecting payments uses a paid group plan, and a small processing fee applies to each payment.
